Coast of Maine's Cobscook Blend is an organic and natural in-ground garden soil crafted to meet your garden and planting bed needs. It will provide an optimal balance of soil structure, water retention, drainage, and aeration for growing vegetables, roses, various annuals and perennials, and more!
For new and existing garden beds:
Apply Cobscook Blend Organic & Natural In-Ground Garden Soil every year. This is best done in the spring when prepping to seed or transplant again mid-season. There are generally two different ways to use this product:
1. For improving soil structure (sandy, compacted, or clay soil), work a 2" layer of Cobscook Blend into the top 4" to 6" of soil before planting.
2. For established beds with loose soil, clear out any debris and then top dress with a 2" layer of Cobscook Blend. Seed or transplant directly into the added soil. This will dramatically reduce the number of weed seeds that germinate from the native soil, which means less weeding for you!
